Abstract
Stanley Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut is a complex, visually arresting film about domesticity, sexual disturbance and dreams. It was on the director's mind for some 50 years before he finally put it into production. Using materials from the Stanley Kubrick Archive at the University of the Arts, London, as well as other archives, combined with interviews with key participants involved in the production, the authors construct an archeology and appreciation of this enigmatic work and its creator.
