The ESCOP Monograph Collection collates the monographs published on-line since 2011 by the Scientific Committee of the European Scientific Cooperative on Phytotherapy. Each volume contains 10 monographs in approximate production sequence. ESCOP represents associations of phytotherapy across Europe and beyond, and has brought in a wide-range of expertise to review the therapeutics of key herbal medicinal products available in the European Union. The first monographs were published as books in 2003 and 2009; they are now published on-line only. Each monograph includes extensive summaries of pharmacological, clinical and toxicological data, and copious references to scientific literature. The monographs complement the assessments published by the Committee on Herbal Medicinal Products (HMPC) of the European Medicines Agency. They are suitable for reference by anyone who needs state-of-the-art information on licensed and registered traditional herbal medicinal products as well as for botanical food supplements. Collection I includes recent monographs on black cohosh, bearberry leaf, bogbean leaf, feverfew, goldenseal, java tea, lady's mantle, melissa leaf, tormentil, and white horehound.
