This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 17th International Conference on Formalizing Natural Languages with NooJ 2023 and Its Natural Language Processing Applications, NooJ 2023, held in Zadar, Croatia, during May 31-June 2, 2023. The 19 full papers included in this book were carefully reviewed and selected from 64 submissions.
