System administrators can quickly set the availability of a room in several profiles at once. When you add or remove the availability of a room to a profile, that availability is also assigned to all the rooms that branch from that room. The availability of the rooms is indicated in the Manage Room list by the check boxes in the Available column.
It is possible to have available rooms branching from an unavailable room. When this happens, administrators assigned to profile will not have access to the room to edit content or settings. However, patrons will be able to access the rooms through Search but not by navigating the room tree. Only an administrator with system rights can manage that room or correct its availability.
In addition to making a room quickly available to many profiles, Assign Room to Profiles also lets you quickly remove the availability of the room from all profiles in preparation for deleting the room.
To assign the availability of a room to multiple profiles
| 1 | Log in to the Admin Console. |
| 2 | Choose Rooms from the navigation pane. |
| 3 | Select the profile in which you want to work. |
| 4 | Navigate to the room in which you want to assign availability. |
| 5 | Choose Assign Room to Profiles option next to the room for which you want to assign the room’s availability in different profiles. |
| 6 | In the Available list, select in which search profiles the room will be available, and move them to the Selected list. (For more information, see Fields: Select Profiles.) |
| 7 | Choose OK to save your changes, or choose Cancel to discard your changes and return to Rooms. |
